Waten, Judah

(1911-85)
   Australian novelist, critic and essayist. He was born in Odessa. In 1914 he emigrated with his family to Perth, where later he worked as a literary critic. In the 1940s he served as a member of the Jewish Council to Combat Fascism and Anti-Semitism. Some of his work deals with Jewish themes.
